as long as we keep an unmodified arulco story setting, we can`t switch to a east european/ russian gus setting becasue arulco/ deidranna is not communist, quite the opposite
given the estimated arulco timeline, you were either to have m16 or ak-47 as a civil war faction. Now since Miguel`s rebels are the pseudo-socialist rebels using AKM, deidrannas army uses by default the M16
Well, I happen to have a list of the different outfits of the South American countries,and some use AK-47/AKM (like Guyana and Peru).
The most common weapons down there are: the FN HP35 and Colt 1911 for pistols; Uzi and HK MP5 for SMGs; M16A1, HK G3 and FN FAL for ARs; almost none have Sniper Rifles; FN MAG, Saco M60 and M2HB for Machine Guns. Forget the M2HB, though, it's a crew served machine gun that is either used on vehicles or a tripod.
I`m fairly sure i will make lots of adjustments to my game once they release a version where i don`t have to expect further changes to the weaponmod
