Hallo

Habe Fallout 2 plus tactics problemlos durch und installiert. Jetzt Fallout 1 geholt, nach mühseligem Installationsprozess auf Wxp (Win 95 und so weiter ich weiß) angezockt. Von Anfang an kam es öfter als bei anderen Spielen, praktisch ständig vor, dass die Graphik spinnt, also alles so bunt angepixelt ist oder auch mal alles schwarz und dann der Maus folgend wieder klar wird.
Alles halbwegs zu schaffen, aber seit neuestem isses aus.

Meldung: 20 mb Hard disc space fehlen. Geht auch nimmer weg. Kann also mein schönes neues altes Spiel nicht spielen. Und jetzt auch net gucken, welche Version ich habe, zum patchen evtl.

Hab den Thread schon auf anderen Foren gefunden, allerdings nie mit erfolgreichem Rezept. Kann ja gar net sein mit dem fehlenden Space, klar altes Spiel erkennt Gigabyte nicht oder so, aber wie gehts denn nun ohne das Teil umzuprogrammieren? Hab auch hier keinen Thread dazu gefunden.

Ich fänds echt beknüppelt Fallout 1 nicht zu kennen.

Der Diskspace Fehler tritt mit der Zeit auf oder wenn du zB eine Mini-installation gemacht hast, bei der du die CD benötigst und die nicht im Laufwerk ist.

Du musst deine fallout.cfg ändern und evtl ein paar Dateien von CD kopieren, dann läuft's wieder.

Hab' dir mal eine Installationsanleitung rausgesucht, wende die einfach an bzw adaptier sie für deine aktuelle Installation:

How to install Fallout 1 on Windows 2000 or NT

Win2K or NT users need to make a manual installation of the game and since Win2K and NT have almost identical core, the installation procedure is the same for both versions and here are the steps for it:

Before you start, make sure you have at least NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3 on your machine.

1. Assumming that your CD-ROM drive letter is "D" and your HD letter is "C", first, create a folder for your game called fallout
(ie C:\games\fallout) then copy D:\program\win\falloutw.___ to the folder you created and rename it to falloutw.exe.

2. Now you have four choices, depending on the installation size you want:

Small Installation: Do not copy anything else.

Medium Installation: Copy D:\master.dat to your fallout folder (ie C:\games\fallout)

Big Installation: Copy D:\master.dat and D:\critter.dat to your fallout folder.

Humongous Installation: Copy D:\master.dat then D:\critter.dat and after that, copy the entire D:\data folder to your fallout folder.

3. Create a text file in C:\games\fallout called fallout.cfg and add the following lines to it, depending on your installation:

Small Installation:
[system]
master_dat=d:\master.dat
critter_dat=d:\critter.dat
[sound]
music_path2=d:\data\sound\music
free_space=0

Medium Installation:
[system]
master_dat=c:\games\fallout\master.dat
critter_dat=d:\critter.dat
[sound]
music_path2=d:\data\sound\music
free_space=0

Big Installation:
[system]
master_dat=c:\games\fallout\master.dat
critter_dat=c:\games\fallout\critter.dat
[sound]
music_path2=d:\data\sound\music
free_space=0

Humongous Installation:
[system]
master_dat=c:\games\fallout\master.dat
critter_dat=c:\games\fallout\critter.dat
[sound]
music_path2=c:\games\fallout\data\sound\music
free_space=0

And finally, make a shortcut to falloutw.exe file and you're done!

Ansonsten probier mal den Kompatibilitätsmodus oder spiel Fallout in DOSBox, damit das Spiel flüssiger läuft.

ich habe das prob ebenfalls gehabt ( allerdings unter win2k )

hatte es installiert wie auf nma-fallout.com beschrieben

als der fehler auftrat half bei mir ein reboot des system - ansonsten hatte ich diese 20mb hdspace meldung immer, egal was ich gemacht in fallout ( ich konnte laden und dann isses abgestürzt, beim andern savegame was im kampf war konnte ich die runde noch zu ende machen und danach trat dann der fehler immer auf )

aber reboot hat dann jedesmal geholfen und ich konnte jedes savegame laden und weiterzocken =b
